We all celebrate October in our own way, don’t we? In Murphys we are at the tail end of wine harvest, and just beginning to think about our olive harvest. This past weekend we threw a great party we call “Grape Stomp”, where we celebrated our wine harvest with much hilarity and good fun.
If we were in Bavaria, our thoughts would turn towards Oktoberfest, an 18 day festival where we would eat sausage and potato pancakes, sing, mingle, sport lederhosen and dirndles, listen to polka music, try to speak German and perform the Chicken Dance.
For me, October wouldn’t be complete without a dinner of some kind of schnizel! Here is a link to a terrific recipe for pork schnizel. Give it a try!
