A lot of us have heard the phrase “clean eating” lately. Are you wondering what exactly that might be? In the simplest of terms, clean eating means eating REAL FOOD! The goal isn’t necessarily to lose weight, but rather to eat healthier more natural foods. You can’t get healthy without eating healthy.
If you are interested in eating healthier here are 3 basic steps in achieving that goal:
1) Avoid processed foods. The health benefits that can be gained from adopting just this one step are enormous.
2) Eat balanced meals, including protein (fish, poultry, meats), dairy, plants, whole grains and legumes.
3) Eat at least three smaller portioned meals a day, including a snack. Avoid foods with more than 4 or 5 ingredients. Keep it simple.
We still have a few spaces left in our Clean Eating Class which is scheduled for Tuesday, January 14 at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Join us and Chef Nicole Sass for some great ideas on achieving your Clean Eating goals for 2014. Call the shop at (209) 728-8853 for more information and to make a reservation. $30.
