President’s Weekend in Murphys, CA

pres weekend

Marisolio is rolling out the red, white and blue carpet to celebrate President’s Weekend.  We have the shop all decorated with Valentines and Patriotic colors and hope you will stop by and say hello if you are in town for the festivities.  We have a new look to the shop, with our fantastic new fusti topped tables. Also, we have a great line up of extra premium olive oils for you to sample, including three of them from our own Rancho Marisol.  We are offering a Kalamata, a Leccino and an Arbequina with some of the highest polyphenol levels we have carried in the shop.

If you are in town for President’s Weekend winetasting, you will definitely need a break from all that wine.  We suggest you stop by Marisolio at 488 Main Street, Murphys,  for a tasting of fresh artisan bread, our fabulous olive oils and balsamics.  As one of our staff likes to say, we are the only establishment in town where you can taste the product all you like and still walk out on your own two feet.

Here is the information put out by our local Winegrape Alliance on what is planned in and around town:

February 14-15, 2015 – President’s Wine Weekend – The Calaveras Winegrape Alliance presents the 19th annual Presidents’ Wine Weekend at all 22 CWA wineries from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a great opportunity to sample the fine wines of Calaveras, celebrate with friends old and new, and take advantage of special discounts. With the purchase of a $20 commemorative wine glass, you are entitled to a free ‘limited-tasting’ flight at all participating member wineries, Saturday through Sunday. Full tastings will be available in each tasting room for an additional fee.

Wine glasses will be available on Main Street in Murphys, on Saturday only, in front of the Native Sons Hall. Or get a glass all weekend long at locations in Calaveras County.  Check out the CWA website for more information.
